Please visit our Reservations page, where you can simply click on the style you desire, complete a simple questionnaire, and pay your deposit. We will contact you within 24-48 hours to confirm your appointment.
We have very limited slots for early and late appointments. An additional fee will apply to such requests. Please make sure to note this request on the Appointment Request Questionnaire.
We take great care to schedule our clients to offer them the best service. Therefore, we can’t guarantee that we can squeeze you in at the last minute. Give us a call, and we’ll see what we can do.
When we schedule your appointment, we do so with a small team dedicated to providing you with the best service and haircare. Cancellations and lateness disrupt this flow. We will not accept cancellations at this time.
We understand things happen and traffic can be crazy, if you are more than 15 minutes late, we may have to alter your service and you will incur a $15 late fee. Please call us to notify us of any delays, and we’ll try our best to honor your appointment.
We’re glad that you’re happy with your final look. It’s our pleasure to provide it. Please bring cash to pay the remainder of your balance at the end of your service.
We know there are so many beautiful styles to try. We also know that everyone’s hair is unique in terms of type, curl pattern, length, and density. If you’re having trouble choosing a style, visit us for a consultation. Visit the Appointment Request Portal to complete the form requesting a consultation or give us a call.
We provide the hair for most styles, including box braids, cornrows, Senegalese twists, kinky twists, and human hair box braids at no extra cost. The hair we provide is salon quality, and with our wide array of standard and multi-color blend selections, you can skip a trip to the beauty supply store. There are a select few styles that require you to provide the hair to achieve the style. Refer to our Hair Recommendation Guide to see those styles.
Most clients do not experience any reactions to synthetic hair. For those who are sensitive to the fiber, we recommend that you purchase the hair at our salon at least a day before your appointment and give it an acid wash. While we strive to achieve our clients’ satisfaction, we do not offer refunds on our services. We urge you to communicate with us if you have any questions or concerns during your service. We’ll do our best to accommodate your styling desires and any unique hair needs.
We love the kids! However, we don’t service children under the age of 7. Please bear this in mind before making your appointment requests. In addition, we reserve the right to discontinue service to children with sensitive scalp and minimal hair styling experience if non-compliance persists due to discomfort.
As a family-owned salon, we promote spending quality time with your friends and family. But we no longer accept additional guests to accompany clients. We will only seat those who have an appointment. Regarding our younger clients, only one parent or guardian will be allowed to accompany minors under 11 years old. K&D reserves the right to refuse service to those who do not comply with this rule.
For the safety and comfort of both clients and staff, please do not bring any infants, toddlers, and children not receiving services. No strollers are allowed in the salon.
All guests are required to arrive with their hair washed, fully detangled, and placed into a protective style like bantu knots, two-strand twists, plaits, or cornrows. You are not required to create more than 12 sections and it is not expected to be prim and proper. Do NOT saturate your hair in oil, creams, butters, lotions, and leave-in conditioners. Additional charges will be incurred if we must prep your hair on the day of your visit. Refer to this link for instructions on how to detangle.
For the best results and quality of your experience during hairstyling:
Failure to comply may lead to additional time to complete the style and you will incur an additional charge at the end of your service. These behaviors lead to stress for your stylist because of the negative long-term effects that crouching and shape shifting does to the human body. The quality of the style and your overall experience also diminish due to these behaviors.
We know hair braiding is a long process. You may bring a small snack and/or drink to stave off hunger or thirst. Please be considerate of your fellow patrons and staff and keep your area tidy.
